Quinn Simpson was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where she attended the private girl's school, Bishop Strachan. During this period she was an actively involved athlete and leader. Her summers were spent at Camp Arowhon where she was a camp counselor for teenage girls; this is where her curiosity peaked.
After graduating high school Quinn traveled to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Edinburgh and fulfill her interest in human behaviour, society and culture. She left with an MA in Sociology and Social Anthropology after writing a dissertation that examined self-help books. More specifically, she looked at their impact and influence on adolescent girls with a sociological perspective. The conclusion was clear: youth need a personal interaction with someone who has been through similar life experiences.
As a result Quinn went in search of a way to reach this age group and when she found coaching, it was a perfect match. Quinn completed her training to become a life coach with two ICF (International Coaching Federation) accredited organizations: The Coaches Training Institute and Coach U.
Quinn's main objective is to enable people to be their most authentic self. One's potential is often bigger and better than what a person sees for themselves. Quinn champions, challenges and encourages them to reach that potential. Through self-discovery one deepens their learning, gains a new perspective and consequently is prepared to move forward.
I don't hold back the truth - I intrude and can be ruthless. Honesty is the essence of all strong and meaningful relationships; as a coach I use this tool to bring about change.
My love and appreciation for life encourages others to dream big and live bigger. The world is limitless and I believe that is the most powerful perspective to carry with you. I promote the power of choice, self-awareness and openly claim that my life secret is never allowing myself to say "no". Rather, engage your dream or desire with "How could it happen?" One must get excited about what could happen next!
